windows client\server projects.

HI,
Can anybody help me ,what does this terminology windows client\server projects mean.What are the applications involved in these type of applications.Are web services must and should for these aplications?

Also please help me why do we use design patterns for a project development and what are desgin patterns?

In some job descriptions i am seeing this terminology.

Hi adi1980,

I am not sure whether the following document I will show you is exactly what you need.

First I recommend you to read the concept of Client-server, it can give you a whole frame of this kind of solution. Then you can read the concept of Web service. As for the Design pattern, you can read this article, Design pattern (computer science).
