Hi there.

I installed Terrarium Server Beta 1 here on a machine in the office. I read that the serverpart of 1.2 will be out soon. How soon is that?
We had some issues with Beta 1 and if 1.2 is supposed to come out very soon I wont bother debugging the problems.
Also its probably not possible to use a 1.2 client with a Beta 1 Server .. right? Got an error message but as I said havent sorted out all problems with the server part.

Ok well if not soon. Will it be out ever. The source would be nice and all but I just want to get a training environment setup where students can compete against one another. If the Beta Server won't Install and when it does install won't work with the 1.2 client I'm at a bit of a loss in how to use the terrarium to train any suggestions would be great. Having the students place there critters into the public server isn't practical they are barely able to reproduce and find food and on the public servers they never get a chance to do either.

Actually I guess I'm just ranting. A bit disappointed at how this project turned out. When I started several years back at the birth of terrarium it was a great training environment we all learned together as animals matured. But today coders from 2 and 3 years ago are still refining the same critters and it has turned into a gaming system for Terrarium Professionals with 1000's of hours poreing over manuvering algorithems and energy to speed to distance ratios that are gaurded like trade secrets waiting for another competition. No longer is it a training system for .Net it's now training for mathmatics Masters and statistical analysists.

Perhaps a new version or a new game of somekind that we could use for training might be a project worth looking at. If anyone knows of a good competitive Idea for trainees try to learn .Net Please let me know.

The server will be out soon.  EULA is in place, just need to package it up and post it.  Sorry for the delay.

agreed nmbt0 ... I'd like the server and the source for different reasons.  I eagerly await ...

Any news about the release of the 1.2 server?

I can't find a download for Terrarium Server 1.2 (not the source, just the installer). Is this available already? If so, where can I find it?

I'm trying to setup a local server as our network is behind a firewall which I don't control. I've downloaded and set up Terrarium Server [Beta 1], but this doesn't seem to work with the 1.2 client. Any solutions for this?

If this won't work, and the new server release is still unavailable, where can I find a client version that will work with the beta 1 server?
