The server is not responding. Please try again.

Downloaded. Installed. Database install went fine. Run client, login with demo/demo and I get:

"The server is not responding. Please try again."

I opened the solution file and tried updating the web reference and get:

"Unable to download the following files from .
http://localhost/IssueVisionWebCS/IssueVisionServices.asmx?wsdl
Do you want to skip these files and continue."

Say yes or no and try to compile and I get multiple "D:\Projects\IssueVision\Development\CS\IssueVision\IssueSubject.cs(30): The type or namespace name 'IVDataSet' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)" messages.

Tried the fix here (<a href="http://support.microsoft.com/?id=820125">http://support.microsoft.com/?id=820125</a>). I can then get it to compile, but still get the login error mentioned above.

I'm running XP Pro Svc Pack 2. I'm at a loss. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Are you sure that IIS is running?

I had the same error and then I checked IIS I saw that it wasn't running.
After I started it I could log in.

At first I couldn't start IIS - it didn't work until I closed the Skype program that was running in the task bar. Cause Skype is automatically started each time I start the computer the IIS is unable to start automatically - I don't know why. If I want to use IIS I first always need to close Skype.
