When I first open the project there are exlamations next to the web references. When I hit update web reference I get 30 build errors in the web references code relating to missing references such as System.ComponentModel.Toolboxitem but when I look in the object tree, Toolboxitem is not a member of the namespace for the compact framework. 

Can anyone help?

No takers?, I can tell you that I'm running Win2000 and .NET 1.1. Taskvision runs just fine but when I install PocketTaskvision the project cannot find the DISCO, WSDL, MAP files etc. I can run the project no problem at this point but if I change or update the reference for example to point to my local server VS creates the files and raises the build errors.

Does anyone know why a windows forms project does not create these files but a compact framework project does?

I've fixed this problem myself by changing the web services to only use standard datasets rather than the typed ones the code uses by default as these are not valid on the compact framework.

I just went thru this mess this morning, i figured I'd find something about this here, what exactly did you chage....
