Hello there!
I've already read a lot of these problems on other postes but none of the solutions seems to apply. I'm behind a firewall, the 50000 port is redirected to my machine and the redirection seems to be ok according to the online Port Scanner http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scanner/
Port Scan <MyMachine> Thu, 13 Jan 2005 13:30:25 -0800
The host <MyMachine> has a service running on port 50000 ().
My Windows XP firewall is Off but. All the webservice lights are Green, but the Sent and Received Perr-to-Peer requests is allways 0. no creatures appear even after 24h... Info shows: Animals 0/142 Peers 22 Teleports 0 (0/0/0/0) ...
If I click on reintroduce, and then ask for the server list, it allways shows up blank ....
If the port seems to be ok ... what i'm I doing wrong ???
please help. Thanks, Tiago

well, I could be more explicit in the previous post. The message that sticks on the screen is: "Waiting for animals to be teleported from other peers running Terrarium".
When I run in Terrarium mode I can see the server list and introduce animals with no problem.
any ideias ?
Thanks, Tiago Andrade e Silva

Wierd, they are teleporting into my machine just fine. Two creatures seem to be dominating the Terrarium now. Naka and Mari both written by the same author. |

Yah. I try and run the new version of the terrarium but the message i keep getting is that the server keeps experiencing trouble. I can never upload my creature. I have port 50000 open and the only creatures i ever see are naka and mari. DUnno whats going on.

To give you some hope, I got the animals and plants on my machine. I have NAT on my ADSL router so I did the 50000 port setting and it worked. Maybe try again without NAT, if thats the prob. |

Hi! I can't try without NAT :(
Why can't I even get the server list ???? If I start in Terrarium mode I can get the server list. But Why not in Ecosystem mode !?
I get this problem at home and at the office (both with NAT and port forwarding). Is there any tool to diagnose this problem ???
If I telnet to port 50000 from the outside I get a blank dark screen ... meaning I established the connection ....
HELP !....
Thanks, Tiago |

HI! Everything is the same, except for the Router. I have a linksys BEFSX41, with port forwarding set to my pc for 50000 :( |

About there not being teleports, wait for 5 minutes. It takes time to teleport. The reason for only two critters is because they kill everything else. You have to make one to kill them to get rid of them. Everybody elses just get killed. |
