IssueVision.msi cannot find my SQL instance

I downloaded both the VB.net and C# version of IssueVision.msi to check out, but during the initial setup process neither one can locate my running instance of SQL on my local machine. Has anyone had this type of problem? If so, how do you fix it? I would really like to review this application. Thank you for your help.

I have a similar problem. The setup process locates an incorrect instance of SQL server, not the running one. I have not found a solution to the problem yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem with TaskVision. The way I had to do it was to run the install and wait for the error to occur. Don't click anything (Cancel or Ok) on the install. Instead go to the directory where the app is being installed and copy the entire directory somewhere else. Once you do that you can go back to the install and allow it to complete. Now go to where you copied the app and find the SQL scripts. Run them to setup the database and then you should be able to view/edit/run the solution.

Good luck,
John
