I just installed the client without an error and get:
"The remote server is unreachable or request has timed-out"
I am using username 'jdoe' and password 'welcome'.


I also noticed that if I just hit enter after getting the can't connect message above to try to log in again, I then get a wait cursor for about 90 seconds to 3 minutes or so. With this wait cursor I am unable to cancel the log on request or end the app. Not a good thing.

Hope everything is working for you, the remote server was just tested and everything seems to work fine. If your Internet connection requires a proxy, you may encounter problems and may not be able to run the application until the next revision.

Why does a proxy server cause this problem?  How will we update the application given that we are unable to log in?

As mentioned in a previous post, it could be a proxy server that's causing an issue.  We'll get that fixed in a future release.
But, all that means you can't use the client to access the public demo server.
Install the server MSI and the client MSI on your dev machine (and follow the directions on the server MSI download page to redirect the client to talk to the server you just installed).
Then you should be just fine.

Hello, Im having the same problem and Im trying this at home and the connection doesnt work with proxy. If I mistype the usr/pwd is reporting that; If I use the right usr/pwd isnt working.

I thought that TaskVision would use the default proxy settings defined in Internet Options.  If the <system.net> <defaultProxy> element has the attribute usesystemdefault=true the settings defined in Internet Options are used...

Coming soon.  Should have a version that does that up in a couple of weeks (maybe sooner).
