Install Source Failure (Unknown Error 0x80005000)

I am trying to install the TaskVision source package taskvision_1.1.0.0.msi.

Installation proceeds normally until a "TaskVision Source" dialog box containing the string "Unknown Error (0x80005000)" and an OK button appears.  When OK is pressed, the installation rolls back (literally -- first time I've seen a progress bar in reverse).

I am running Windows XP Home and have VS .NET 2003 and .Net Framework 1.1 installed.

Any suggestions?

I am currently experiencing the same error in regardst to an Exchange Server 2003 uninstall. I have seen this error code before but only working with Exchange Server 2003. Unfortunately Microsoft's Knowledge Base article is a joke and says its the Windows Installer that is the problem...

CAUSE
This problem may occur if the Windows Installer service startup setting is set to Disabled.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, re-enable the Windows Installer service, and then click Retry on the Exchange Server Setup error message. To re-enable the Windows Installer service:
1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. In the list of services, double-click Windows Installer.
3. In the Startup type list, click Manual.
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

The error does occur during the setup process that involves removing objects from Active Directory however, so I am going to try to to reinstall Exchange again and then uninstall it.
