Hi,
I'm facing Install issue with Taskvision source and server edition both , issue is that it says unable to locate localhost database please contact system administrator.I've SqlServer 2K sp3 with latest .Net Framework patch (slammer) updates and Win2k server 

I've blank  password for sa and I checked the necessary setting ,I'm able to login as sa and I'm able to connect to SqlServer ,protocols are TCP/IP and netlib both.

I've checked the DSN "localhost" in ODBC/ADO settings, it is working fine.



"Windows account has SQL Server administrator privileges for the database using integrated security. "

I checked that the my current login is registered to the Administrators Group. 

am I missing something.

Try setting your SQL Server authentication to Mixed (Windows and SQL Server Authentication)

I'm facing the same problem as described in the previous message, and I'm using the same configuration with mixed mode authentication enabled. I first tried to install the source on a machine with only "NETSDK" instance and it failed. Addind a default one however doesn't help at all. Instlallation seems to pass fine on non-SP3 (non-slammer-patched) machines so "localhost database" problem could be related to the latest patches.

I just installed successfuly the server on a Win2k machine with default and NetSDK instances if slq server AND sp3 installed. It seems the problem with localhost database is somewhere else. Meanwhile another problem occured. I installed the client on my machine (WXP, SQLSP3,.Net11) and made appropriate settings in taskvision.exe.config to access the remote server. Both authservice and dataservice work fine through web interface (was able to get ticket and list projects) but the client app can't login with jdoe/welcome claiming the server is unreachable or timed out.
