Hi

I have installed TaskVision Server 1.1.0.0 on .NET Framework 1.1
The instal was a success.

But when I navigate to: http://localhost/TaskVisionWS i get a 
HTTP Error : 403

Any idea?


(both my SQL server and IIS is running)

It works fine if I install the client (client.msi)


But the "Zero Touch Deployment" still don't work.

Just a thought .. there is no Default.aspx in the taskVisionWS directory .. you have to say:

http://localhost/TaskVisionWS/AuthService.asmx (or the other service .. asmx)

I just added a Default.aspx to the directory to give two hyperlinks to the services ..

Excellent.  That'll give you the ability to test out the Web services without the client.  Reason update isn't working is there's no update available by default.  check out C:\Program Files\TaskVision Source\TaskVisionUpdates.

If you drop one in there and update the xml file to point to it, you'll see it work just fine.

I confess we did a lousy job capturing that exception.  Sorry 'bout that.
That said, just launched the TaskVision WorkSpace on GDN with full source to everything and some new features (like support for proxy servers and some good security features).  I'd encourage you to join and help us build this puppy out.  If nothing else, a nice little messagebox error there would be a heck of a contribution ;)
