WeRock247 will provide the ultimate party accessory. Holographic rock equipment and accessories, so you can hire a rock band, speakers, even holographic car parks and attendants. Of course its all make believe stuff  

We will show you how to build all the applications used by WeRock247 by providing you will audio recordings and video demos of the relevant technologies, + step by step labs in C#, VB.Net and where possible J# to help you build the applications. 

As you work you way though the DVD/Web Site you will build the following applications. 

A CallCenter application used to collect orders from the customer. This application will use non rectangular windows and alpha blending to produce cool visual effects. 

Once the order has been submitted it will then be passed to the warehouse were our warehouse supervisor will use an Excel application developed with Visual Studio Tools for Office to assign the order to our warehouse pickers who are responsible for locating the individual items for the order. Our warehouse supervisor will also need to keep an eye on the stock levels to ensure that the warehouse doesn’t run out of items and you will build this component to. 

Once assigned to our warehouse picker they will use a .NET CF application to locate the items in the store. Don’t worry if you don’t have a Pocket PC device as you will be able to use the emulator that we will provide on the DVD. 

Once our picker has collected the order it is then given to the delivery driver for delivery. Our driver is also equipped with a Pocket PC Phone Edition device that will allow him to integrate with Location Based Services and MapPoint to provide him with a map from his current location to the delivery address. 

You will also build a Windows Powered SmartPhone application for the customer that will allow him/her to find out were the delivery driver is. This application will also use Location Based Services and MapPoint to track down the current position of the delivery truck. 

They are just a few of the application that you will build using the DVD, but we also have a Marketing department and a Salesman and they have there own application that you will need to build using technologies like SmartDocs, SmartTags, ResearchPanes, InfoPath, and the Tablet PC. 

We don’t want to stop there and we plan to release new labs for additional WeRock247 applications to the website so we can extend the applications in new ways. Of course if you have any great ideas for application that will fit into the WeRock247 world, or comments, suggestions or have extended the applications yourself we would love to hear from you.
