Editing Vista Registry, How can we edit System Registry through C# code in Vista ?

Hi there,

I want to set an application as service on Vista through C# application.
The vista is not allowing me to access the System/CurrentControlSet/Services key through code.
I am getting Access Denied !

Any help to overcome this is welcomed.

Thanks in advance...

Hi AltaVista,

To edit registry in Vista needs administrator permissions. So your application needs to run under a user which has administrator permissions. We can right click your application, and choose “run as administrator I’d like to remind you that editing the registry is a dangerous action. Please be careful when dealing with it.
