Anyone else having problems when attempting to add a new creature? I get a message that states that there is a problem with the terrarium server, please try again later. Well ... it's been three days and no luck. |

Yes, I am seeing this as well. I believe it relates to the missing graph on the reporting page as well. I am looking into it, hopefully will have it fixed tomorrow. |

Thanks Mitch, Please reply to this thread when you managed to fix it, 'cause I can't wait to bring my new herbivore into the game.
B.t.w: what is the current status of Terrarium, and who is responsible for it? Are Microsoft employees still working on new versions? Is there going to be a new version of Terrarium when .NET 2.0 ships? I think Terrarium is a great game, and hope it will be supported by Microsoft in the future.

I am the Program Manager in charge of Terrarium. Terrarium is alive and will be for quite some time, I hope. :)
We are currently working on the 1.2 release of Terrarium client and server which will include the full source. It is behind in the schedule that I set mostly due to myself helping out in designing the next version of the SDK that will ship with Longhorn. Hopefully 1.2 will be in your hands with in the next 2 months. As for Whidbey, I'm not sure what the plans are for this. We are currently designing a new version of Terrarium that will target Longhorn.
I would guess a version of the 1.2 codebase ported to Whidbey would be a safe bet. But I would like to freshen it up as well, but as to how much is TBD.

A new Terrarium version for Longhorn? Wow, Great!!!!! So the Longhorn version will indeed be using .NET 2.0 and Avalon!
Thanks for the good news!

Any update on the issue with not being able to add new animals? I'm sure some of us would like to try and overthrow the current top creatures =) |

This is a nice little curve ball. The passwords to the servers hosting Terrarium have been changed and I haven't been able to get a hold of the people who administer the servers in the lab. Bottom line is I haven't been able to jump on the server to determine what is going on. I'll post here when I find out more.
Thanks. |

Ok, tracked down who owned it and put in a service request. Should be getting access to my servers on Monday (Yeah!) and hopefully will have the problem fixed by EOD Monday.
Sorry for the delay! |
