Windows Application : Form resizing is very slow

Hi,
The application I have developed is responding very slow... :( even when I Minimize and maximize the form it take more that 2-3 seconds..
What should I do to improve preference?

Use less controls.

I dnt thnk I have used controls more than I required...
Any other reasons?
