Newsgroup available via NNTP?

I was directed here via a posting in the microsoft.private.whidbey.* newsgroup. The message only contained an URL to the web-based interface. Are these groups also carried on a NNTP server? If so, what is the name of the server?

I checked microsoft.public.*, but I wasn't able to find these groups listed.
