Development Environment: VS 2008: VB

Problem Statement:  I am developing a large collection of *.jpeg files, I want to automate the process:  1. Select file,  Right click on file, Select Properties, Select Details, update:  Title, Subject, Comments, Authors, Date Taken, etc. 

I am looking for direction on how to access these 'properties' and how to update them using code.

I am planning on doing a whole folder's worth at a time (all come from a large collection of old slides and the defaults are not what I want and updating 6000+ manually... Well that's why I write programs :>

A simple pointer to the library reference of interest would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that sould get me started, at least for the images.  I guess I failed to really ask the correct, more general question, how to access the 'metadata' for any file type in VISTA.
