Status Strip Blacking Out Issue on Windows Vista

Application Target: Windows XP and Windows Vista
Development Environment: VS 2005 Pro
Language: VB 2005

I have the form designed with the a StatusStrip as shown in figure. When I use Window XP and run my application in debug or release mode, the StatusStrip seems to work fine.

When using Windows Vista, the StatusStrip seems to have a black hole for "ToolStripStatusLabel1" and "ToolStripStatusLabel2" (as shown infigure).

Please provide any hints or solutions!

Thank you for your time!

After doing more testing, I am still faced with the same "blacking out" issue! It seems to occur only in VISTA and only when the bottom part of the application goes below the "windows taskbar"!

I have tried using the "refresh" method on the Form and StatusStrip Control (me.refresh and StatusStrip1.refresh), still no luck!

Please help!

Hi engrforever,

Base on our test, we cannot reproduce the effect. Could you please run your application on another Vista pc to see if the problem occur? If only one Vista pc have that problem, I think it can be caused by the graphic driver. May be you can try to install a new version of graphic driver to fix the problem. If the problem occurs on all Vista PC, then would you mind give me the step to reproduce it? So I can raise this issue to the product team.

Sincerely,
Kira Qian
