Has the Ctrl+Tab behavior changed in visual studio?

I dont know what has caused this, whether it was some windows update, or something i have done on my pc, but previously, when i had multiple windows open in visual studio the Ctrl+Tab behaviour was exactly like Alt+Tab in the sense that when i released the Alt key the selected window would automatically appear.

Now in the designer, when i release Ctrl, the window remains and i can scroll the windows using the up and down keys, and in order to select a window i either need to actually click on it, or press the enter key.

Is there any way to change it back, so the window is selected when i release the Ctrl key?

This just started happening to me today. I have no idea how or why it started.

I used Ctrl+Tab a lot and this really stinks. I have to press enter to make the selected document become active.

This link helped a little, but i still liked it the other way.

Why did it change is what i want to know?

My bindings were set for CTRL+Tab. It is too bad everyone on the blog think the new tabbing sucks. I don't really care either way. I want to press (and hold) CTRL then tap TAB to cycle through my open documents. When I let go of CTRL I want that document active and that window to go away.

Right now, that window doesn't go away. Just like you, I have to hit enter or click a file!!!

I checked with another developer and his settings is for CTRL+TAB but his window disappears. What in the world is going on. I wonder if there is some registry hack?!

I suspect there was some windows update that has done it... because one minute it was working normally, next thing i know its got this new annoying behaviour, and there have been regular updates over the last few weeks...

I don't know if Windows Update is to blame here. My workstation is isolated from W.U. I do not get updates unless it has been approved through one of our server members. I just spoke to him and he said we have not had an update for over a week.

I'm 99% positive I didn't have this problem in the morning, but it was after lunch that it changed. I do remember my computer asking funny for a period. i.e. my ATI display panel just appeared even though I don't remember opening it.

Hi,
The link is not working anymore.

Here is what to do:
Just uncheck all checkboxes under "Text-To-Speech" narrator software.
--> To open Narrator using the keyboard, press CTRL+ESC, press R, type narrator, and then press Enter.

The new lilnk is http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vbide/thread/9ce20627-d885-459a-aabd-12877713c753
