Designer Host Control Resize Problem

Hi all,

In my application i am creating Designer Host Screens. Say i created one designer host screen and i can place the controls in that screen and i can able to resize the controls using mouse. But when i created more than one designer host screen i cant able to resize the controls that are in the old screens. and i can able to resize only in the latest screen that i added. Can anyone please help me or having any solution for this?

Thanks & Regards,
Vaira Muthu.

Dear Vairamuthu, There could be an issue with component change service. Can you tell me exactly how many instances of the Designer hosting forms running?. If possible provide me a sample code of yours. Thanks, Nanda

Dear Nanda,

Thanks for your reply,

I identified the problem, i am using more number of Designer Host instances, So when i am using more than 36 instances of Designer Host, i am facing this problem. If the number of instances of Designer Host is less than equal to 36 , then it is working fine.

Below is the link of an example given by the microsoft. It is also giving the same problem when adding more than 36 forms(i.e. Designer Host Form).

Thanks for letting me to identify the problem.

Thanks & Regards,
Vaira Muthu.

Dear Vairamuthu, You are right. I have also identified the same problem in the msdn sample project. There are few services we are adding in the designer host object. The problem could be due to more number of instances of any of the service. So try to isolate the services or try adding more than one designer surface to the same designer host. Also visual studio doesn't gave this problem. My project has more than 36 forms in it. So this control resize problem is not seen in visual studio development environment. Please try sending feedback to msdn people. Thanks, Nanda
