&Key Do not Show at Run Time

If I set a short key using the & sign at design time, I can see the underline at the appropriate hot key at design time but when I run the programme the underline disappears. What's going on?

I have found the solution! It is strange that a small matter like this takes so much effort to sort out. I hope that Vista team does something about it in future releases.

Meanwhile, here's the solution:

This is the default behaviour of Windows XP and vista.

To override the setting do as follow.

Right click desktop - properties - Appearances - Effect

In the effect window uncheck "Hide underline....."

Thanks, A.m.a.L

Hi Sylva,

Vista is different with previous Operating Systems. You can right click deskstop->(click)personalization-> (click)windows Color and appearance->(click)Effect button-> (check) Show shadows under menus.

Let me know if there are any problems.

Best regards,
Bruce Zhou
