Hello,

I can't find any detailed instructions anywhere on how to have ClickOnce add a desktop shortcut to my application. Nothing I try seems to work. Can someone please help? I am using Windows XP, Visual Studio 2008 Pro SP1, .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and Xna Game Studio 3.0.

The problem was fixed by downloading.Net Framework 3.5 SP1 again. Obviously something went wrong the first time. Hard to believe!

After fixing the problem I followed your instructions and I now getthe default desktop shortcut icon on my installations, but when I try to use a custom desktop shortcuticon I run into another problem that I will be posting separately.

Thanksa lot for your quick reply.I now realize that my problemis that although I am using .Net 3.5 SP1, my Publish Options window is entirely different from the one shown on your tutorial andit does not have the option of puting an icon on the desktop. Any ideas? Now I am really confused!
