unable to uninstall files installed by VS

Hello
I use VS 2008 to install a Windows form that I have made. Works great.
Untill I try to uninstall. I use the windows Uninstall utillity in the control panel.
It looks like it uninstalls. But it does not really. If you go and look in the installed folder all the files are still there.
I can't even erase the files and I am the administrator. I have renamed them, tried to move them etc. No luck.
I have noticed in the forums that the problem is common and I need to find some way to be a "Super Administrator" that MS in its wisdom has hidden from me. Just because I own the computer does not mean that Microsoft will let me be the boss of it.

Untill I find out how my customers can really uninstall my programs I can not use VS.

On one computer I am using Vista Home Premium, on another Vista complete and the other one is the last version of XP.

What a pain. I have almost stopped letting MS update me cuz every time it does at least one other program does not work.
My intention for these computer is for them to work for me. I did not buy them to work for MS. The problems are getting to be a real hastle.

There must be a way!!!!

Thanks

What does "it looks like it uninstalls" mean exactly? You see a progress bar, and what else?
If you have an uninstall custom action that crashes the uninstall will roll back.

Can you refer us to a thread in these forums where you've seen that this problem is common? There were no suggestions in those messages?
