Error Using Clickonce when Including data file in Manifest

I would like deploy my application using the clickonce method. I also need to include some static data files in the implementation. I use the mageui program to update the application manifest. I add the file to manifest as it is explained in the documentation. I then use a the generated application certificate to sign the application. When I go to deploy the application I receive an error saying the hash code in the deployment manifest does not equal the application manifest. I have tryed multiple times to make sure the certificate is the same. I have even created a new certificate in the signing page in VS 2008 with a password to ensure that I am referencing the same one. I have tried to update both the application and deployment manifest after I have added the file to the application manifest, but I still receive the same error. If someone would give me some suggestions on how to debug my problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just add the data files to the project in Visual Studio, mark them with Build Action = "content", and copy-to-output-directory as "copy always", and publish from there?

Do you always use Mage, or is that just how you thought you could include the data files?

Yes, I did that two days when I didn't get any response here, and it did work. I appreciate your help. Still not sure why the other method is not working. When you go into the documentation it tells you can include files that are not in the actual project. But i will continue to do it the way that you suggested. Again thanks for the help, its much appreciated.

MSFT would eventually answer your question; I'm working 15 hour days, and sometimes I getbehind keeping up with the q's here. :-(

Okay, if we go back to the problem of using the manifest. What file(s) did you open with MageUI? Did you open and sign both the application manifest and the deployment manifest, or just one of them?

Hey thanks for the reponse. I signed both files manifest and application. I used the MageUI program. I got around the problem by originally entering them into the project. Anytime I added any files outside of the VS environment I got the error.
