Editing OSD file when create CAB deployment project

Hello,

If you've tried creating a CAB "setup and deployment" project and compile, you'll discover the VS.NET 2003 IDE automatically creates the OSD file for you.

It happens that I want to change a few lines in it (for including an INF file) but I can't a way to edit and save it in the project. Of course I can create the .CAB file then replace the OSD, but that loses the point that I have to do so every time when I build the package. I

t'll be great if someone can inform me a better way to do so. Thanks for any input.

Yea I have that same issue, but from all the replies you have gathered, I am assuming this can not be done. Thus making VS.Net Cab Project ultimatelly pretty worthless. This is the one topic where old school VB6 (.Net haters) co-workerscan laugh right inmy face and I guess I just have to accept it.

Its pretty easy to do it. Just extract and edit the CAB file in whatever way you want to. Then just again create a CAB file using some utility like 'CabPack' or so.
