We have an application that was published to install from a file share say \\myapp\epi. It has been set to work offline, and a shortcut on the Start menu is created. A large number of users have installed the app from this fileshare. The application has been set to check for updates, for which the same file share has been given and all the users have done1 upgrade also from this file share.

We now have some users who have poor bandwidth, and are unable to install from the fileshare. We want to send them a CDROM to do the install, and want these users to get the updates from the existing file share.

This means that the same application has really been published for fileshareand CDROM, with users doing the install from either, and theupdates taking place from the same location. We are planning on a update soon for some other enhancements, so any changes to the manifest can be done at then, to enable install from either a fileshare or CDROM, with updates from the fileshare.
