Adding links to graphis in the ReadMe.rtf

Hi
Converting an old IS setup package which has a 2MB html read me file. Converting to rtf results in 52MB which is not good. Our IS suggested putting links to .png or .jpg files into readme.rtf. Is this a good idea or is there a better way?
Thanks

Hi BarberColman,

The normal way to do with a large read me file is to use .chm file or .pdf file. Since your read me file contains not only text, but also some pictures which cost disk space. It is hard to deal with these in a small RTF file. So I think use a .chm file is a better choose and it don't need your user to install MS word, Adobe reader.

Here I found a site offer free WinCHM, http://www.softany.com/winchm/
You can use the tool to create your .chm file. Hope it helps.

Sincerely,
Kira Qian
